The Acadiana Rams boys basketball team used pressure and intensity to propel themselves tonight over the Teurlings Rebels, 54-36.  Acadiana got off to a fast start jumping out in front 7-1 early in the first.  The Rebels bounced right back and we had a close one when Teurlings tied it at 10 apiece.  The two teams would battle it out and the Rebels would have the slight edge after one, 15-12, behind 8 first quarter points from Tyler Chaisson (#23).  A low scoring second quarter would lead the two teams in the locker room with the score being tied at 19.  Teurlings would grab an early 3rd quarter lead, 24-21, until the Rams would go on a 14-6 run to close out the period.  With a 35-30 lead, Acadiana began to find a rhythm as total momentum shifted in their favor.  A 9-2 run to open the fourth quarter would extend the Rams lead to twelve points, 44-32.  The defensive pressure would hold to be too much for the short hand Rebels, as they await to get more players back from football, and the Rams would go on to take the victory.  Teurlings will be back in action as they are hosting a tournament starting Wednesday (12/1) and Acadiana will be playing in the Lafayette High Tourney starting Thursday (12/2).
